Hey, Welcome to SD! As dhsami said, there are tons of spots to ride around here. I usually go to Ted Williams as thats the closest to me. You won't ever go there on a weekend with finding another rider there. People ride there all the time.

welcome to San Diego. If you want i'll show you some DJs and some street spots. We have an outlaw park in a huge concrete drainage ditch witch in real fun, some nice hips and walrides. There's a YMCA skatepark off clairemont dr. that allows bikes. The two best jump spots are in clairmont( legacy), poway( ted williams/meadowbrook) and National city. Eric Carter is building a new bike park about an hour north of San Diego that should be open in a month are two. Let me know if you want to ride.
